Bangor appears in UK Top 10 League Tables

Bangor University is among the top 10 universities in the UK for six subjects taught at the university according to the Complete University Guide for 2019.

The University is among the universities with a high score noted for Student Satisfaction, and appears third in the Wales region, coming equal 62nd overall in the first free-to access complete ranking of all the UKs universities.

The Guide complements other data available to would-be students, to help them with their decision making such as the University’s Gold standard in the UK Government’s new Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF).

The University is also eighth among the UK’s non-specialist universities in the UK and second among Welsh Universities  according to  statistics offered by the National Student Survey (Aug 2017).

Vice-Chancellor Professor John G. Hughes said:

“The University continues to provide students with an excellent education and we were delighted to be the only University in Wales to receive a Gold standard in the first Teaching Excellence Framework Awards. We always recommend that prospective students consider every aspect of their university experience, and sources such as league tables, surveys and Awards provide valuable endorsements which underpin the impression made by a visit to a Bangor University Open Day.”

“I once again congratulate all our staff for their hard work in delivering excellent student experiences.”

Simon Emmett, CEO of the Hotcourses Group, who manage the Complete University Guide said: “The Guide is an essential element of the wide-ranging portfolio of information, advice and guidance available through Hotcourses and its parent company IDP. It complements the counselling and insight programmes and thousands of student reviews which, altogether, offer the biggest, busiest and unparalleled worldwide resources available on UK higher education institutions and their courses.
